From the Alps to Caucasus

It is already 15 years that the Music Department of the Zurich University of the Arts welcomes students from Georgia for studies. For this anniversary Tamara Kordzadze organizes a project in 3 steps, with the goal to bring together talented young musicians from Switzerland and Georgia through a cultural exchange, to promote their careers, to enhance the cooperation of the Zurich University of Arts and the Tbilisi State Conservatory and to tie the necessary international contacts.

Music Class Project

The Vivace’s “Music Class” project was benefitting from the Charity Concert “Masters of Georgian & Classical Music” hosted by Zurich Insurance Company. Through donation was possible to provide: 3 Pianos, 3 Violins, 2 Cellos & 3 Windinstruments for Georgian music schools.

International Jury Member

From 22nd to 27th October 2018 together with famous musicians as Gabriel Tacchino and Princess Caroline Murat-Haffner, Tamara Kordzadze will be a Jury Member at the “International Piano Competition NICE CÔTE D’AZUR”

Piano Bench Project

Georgia's music schools were in bad shape. The Music Halls where regular concerts are performed were not equipped with standard piano chairs or benches. Children and young pianists used to have plain, very uncomfortable wooden chairs with no padding or possibility for adjustments. For this reason, Tamara Kordzadze organized the donation of piano chairs and benches purchased in Switzerland with the funds donated to charity concerts and transported to seven music schools and museums in Georgia.
